Jamie Lerner joined Quantum in July 2018 as Chief Executive Officer and President. Jamie is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business while leading Quantum’s multi-pronged transformation initiatives to drive profitability, growth and innovation.
Jamie is a seasoned executive, with more than 25 years of experience developing innovative technology portfolios and leading large, high-performing organizations. Prior to Quantum, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Pivot3 a leader in hyper converged infrastructure. At Pivot3, Lerner was responsible for field sales, technical support, professional services, supply chain and operations. Before joining Pivot3, Lerner held the position of President, Cloud Systems and Solutions, at Seagate Technology, where he was responsible for Seagate’s growth initiatives in cloud computing. Prior to Seagate, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Cloud and Systems Management Technology Group at Cisco. He also was Founder, President, and CEO of CITTIO Inc., an enterprise system monitoring software company; Senior Software Architect and Product Manager at Platinum Technology (acquired by CA); and, a Senior Consultant at Andersen Consulting. Jamie holds a bachelor's degree in quantitative economics and decision sciences from the University of California, San Diego.
Mike Dodson was named Chief Financial Officer in May 2018. Prior to Quantum, he served as CFO of Greenwave Systems, a global software and managed services company for Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. Before joining Greenwave, Dodson was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Mattson Technology, Inc., an international semiconductor process equipment manufacturer, from 2012 – 2017. Prior to his tenure at Mattson, Dodson served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at DDi Corp., a provider of printed circuit board engineering and manufacturing services. Before joining DDi, Dodson served as the CFO for three global public technology companies and Chief Accounting Officer for an S&P 500 company. Dodson started his career with Ernst & Young.
Elizabeth “Liz” King joined Quantum in March 2019 as Chief Revenue Officer. Liz has more than 25 years of experience in global sales and leadership spanning enterprise, public sector and telecom industries in over 30 countries. She is a veteran in the information technology market and has held key executive leadership roles in sales, general management, services, product management, marketing, alliances, supply chain and operations. Her expertise includes datacenter infrastructure & software, systems integration services, high performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and complex public sector projects, all on a broad, international scale.
Prior to Quantum, Liz was Vice President, Go-to-Market & Enablement, HPC & AI at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). Liz joined HPE as part of HPE’s acquisition of Silicon Graphics International (SGI), where she led worldwide sales and continued that role through the full integration of the company into HPE. Prior to SGI, she was vice president of strategic alliances for IBM and global systems integrators at Juniper Networks. Prior to Juniper, she was vice president & general manager of the Hitachi Server Group of Hitachi Data Systems where she was responsible for sales, marketing, operations and customer delivery of Hitachi servers and converged solutions. Liz also held key senior sales, business development and operations roles at Nokia (formerly Alcatel-Lucent), Oracle (formerly Sun Microsystems), Raytheon, and Texas Instruments.
Liz has a MBA with honors from the University of Dallas and a Bachelor’s of Science in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University.
Regan MacPherson joins Quantum with over 20 years of extensive corporate legal experience, including strong technical expertise in corporate law and governance, M&A, securities and transactional work and managing legal risk while achieving business objectives. Regan was Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Marvell Semiconductor, from June 2017 until October 2019, where she participated in the company’s transformation by developing and implementing robust compliance programs across the organization. She also oversaw the company’s trade compliance, enterprise risk management and corporate social responsibility programs. In addition to her legal and compliance responsibilities, Regan also designed and implemented Marvell’s corporate philanthropy program, focusing on hunger, homelessness and poverty, support for STEM education in K-12th grade and overall community enrichment.
Prior to joining Marvell, Regan spent 12 years at Seagate Technology in a variety of legal roles beginning in July 2005 as manager of the corporate governance function through her eventual promotion to the executive team as Senior Vice President and General Counsel responsible for Seagate’s global legal, government relations and security functions. Additionally, Regan founded the first cross-functional legal internship program, giving first- and second-year law school students the opportunity to gain experience across a corporate legal department during the summer internship season.
Regan was a founding member of Seagate’s Women’s Leadership Network, a grass-roots organization designed to provide coaching, mentorship and growth opportunities for women.
One of Regan’s greatest sources of professional satisfaction is building and empowering teams of people, and creating an open, accountable culture. She thrives on motivating and inspiring cross-functional teams, developing and mentoring employees and providing them with clear lines of responsibility.
Rick Valentine joined Quantum in January 2021 as Senior Vice President & Chief Customer Officer. Rick brings more than 35 years of experience in advocating for customers and transforming teams to deliver great customer outcomes. Prior to Quantum, Rick served as Chief Customer Officer for Silver Peak Systems, a global leader in SD-WAN technology, and was instrumental in Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s acquisition of Silver Peak earlier this year. Prior to Silver Peak, Rick served as Chief Customer Officer at Symantec Inc./Veritas Software, leading customer success for the technical support software portfolio spanning customers across 11 global locations and more than 15 languages, including a team of 1,800 worldwide associates. He has also held various executive roles at Intuit, Sage Software, and Automatic Data Processing (ADP).
Brian Pawlowski joined Quantum in December 2020 as Chief Development Officer. Brian is a distinguished technologist with over 35 years of experience in building technologies and leading teams at global technology companies, such as Sun Microsystems, NetApp, and Pure Storage. Brian previously served as vice president and chief architect at Pure Storage, where he focused on improving user experience for their all-flash storage platform. He also served as CTO at storage pioneer NetApp, where he joined as employee #18.
Brian began his career as a software engineer for several well-known technology companies, including Sun, where he drove technical analysis on alternate file system technologies. Brian served on the Board of Trustees for the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology and was a Board member at the Linux Foundation. Brian studied computer science at Arizona State University and studied physics at the University of Texas at Austin and MIT.
Bruno Hald has been with Quantum for over 25 years. He leads the engineering teams for tape automation, DXi and platform development.
Bruno is a seasoned engineering leader, with more than 25 years of experience in the data storage industry. He has been part of three different storage companies that have gone through a series of acquisitions to finally in 2006 integrate into Quantum. He has helped develop and launch many successful storage platforms throughout his career that generated significant revenues for the companies he worked for. Bruno holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a master’s degree in Business Administration.
Ed has been in leadership positions in storage and storage networking for over 25 years and has always had a strong focus on solving real-world customer problems. Starting in design and architecture, and moving into management, he has maintained his technical roots.
Before joining Quantum, Ed was the CEO of Atavium, shipping the first storage platform that classified data on ingest delivering real-time search & analytics, combined with a data orchestration engine that enabled customers to fully automate their workloads.
Previous roles include Vice President of Development for Dell Storage, where he was responsible for strategic directions and product delivery for the Compellent, EqualLogic, and FluidFS product lines. Prior to the Dell acquisition of Compellent, Ed had dual roles in engineering and product direction. Ed was part of the Isilon management team and built the Isilon platform team from the ground up in Minnesota. He was a member of the founding engineering team at NuSpeed that was acquired by Cisco Systems, and his past includes positions as Architect/Sr. Advisory Engineer for StorageTek/Network Systems and several technical leadership positions.
Outside of work Ed enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and hiking.
Dave Clack joined Quantum in 2020 as General Manager, Cloud Software & Analytics, as part of the acquisition of Square Box Systems, makers of the CatDV Asset Management Platform.
Dave is an entrepreneurial business leader with a track record of using technology to transform and disrupt markets. Until its acquisition, Dave led Square Box, makers of CatDV Media Asset Management products, helping creative professionals make incredible video and audio content, optimize media workflows, and manage the exploding demand for high-quality video content. Dave has advised several start-ups and established businesses on marketing, strategy, and growth.
Before Square Box, Dave led the technology team at LMAX, an award-winning, low latency, FX, and derivatives exchange. Dave was instrumental in creating this groundbreaking venue, disrupting a damaged industry, at the leading edge of agile and lean software techniques.
Dave’s early career covered the full gamut of software engineering, consulting, project, program, and service management. He’s worked across various industries and sectors for many household names, including McAfee, Deutsche Bank, Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Land Rover, Ford, Unipart, Legal and General, Hiscox and HSBC.
Dave holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Imperial College, University of London.
Greg Wade joined Quantum in August of 2011 with the acquisition of Pancetera Software. Greg and his team are responsible for incubating new product ideas and bringing them to market. Their charter is to increase market share and develop new market opportunities through innovation.
Greg is an experienced executive with more than 30 years of experience in data storage and storage startups. Prior to joining Quantum, he was founder and Vice President of Engineering of Pancetera Software a storage startup focused on Virtual Machine backup. He was an early employee of both Legato Systems and Data Domain where he held various engineering and leadership positions. He holds a BSCS degree from San Jose State University and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management and Leadership from Santa Clara University.
Scott Venhaus joined Quantum in October 2018 as Vice President of Supply Chain. Scott is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations while leading Quantum’s global supply chain transformation initiatives to deliver end to end solutions while driving profitability, growth and innovation.
Scott is a proven operational transformation leader with over 20 years of experience defining, leading and executing customer centric solutions in the electronics industry. Prior to Quantum, Scott had held operations, supply chain, compliance and sales leadership roles in manufacturing, integration and distribution at Arrow Electronics, Encore Repair Services and General Electric. Scott’s experience includes successful business launches in Asia and Latin America, organization turn-around and restructures globally, including acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
Scott began his career serving seven years in the US Navy as an aviation supply chain and operations instructor, earning the Master Training Specialist designation.
Scott is a thought leader in manufacturing, electronics and electronic recovery industries. He serves on the board of directors of the Recycling Industry Operating Standard (RIOS), is a steering committee member for the World Recycling Forum in Asia and the International Electronics Recycling Congress in Europe.
Jamie Girouard is an energetic and passionate industry thought leader focused on implementing innovative ideas to elevate the employee experience at Quantum. As Chief Human Resources Officer, Jamie is responsible for setting the company’s global human capital strategy and identifying new methodologies that drive cultural transformation and enhance team and company performance.
Jamie joined Quantum in 2015 and has more than 15 years of Human Resources experience. Jamie’s areas of expertise include total rewards, executive and international compensation, employee wellness, organizational effectiveness, data analytics, leadership development and change management.
Jamie has held positions as both an external consultant and as an internal advisor for privately and publicly traded companies. Prior to Quantum, she spent much of her career at TransUnion LLC, and Arrow Electronics.
Jamie has a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Colorado State University.
Outside the office, Jamie is the Executive Director for an all-volunteer non-profit organization that helps transition retiring thoroughbred racehorses into new careers. Jamie is a passionate equestrian herself who trains and competes in the sport of Eventing.
Natasha Beckley is the Chief Marketing Officer for Quantum. In this role, Natasha is directly responsible for Quantum’s brand and marketing strategy, partnering with teams across the organization to drive awareness, demand and growth.
Natasha has extensive experience in the industry, leading transformation with an emphasis on data-driven marketing, customer experience and integrated planning. Natasha joined Quantum in 2004, and previously held marketing roles at Sony, AppliedMicro, JNI Corp as well as agency-side positions serving Fortune 500 companies, such as Charles Schwab and Symantec, through to startups. Natasha holds an MBA from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Wales.
Appaji is a seasoned product-management executive with more than two decades of experience in high-tech markets with expertise in storage, networking, and cloud technologies. He is responsible for Quantum’s corporate strategy, and product and services management. Prior to Quantum, he worked in product roles at Seagate, Cisco, and HPE. He holds an MBA from University of California at Berkeley, and a Master's in Computer Science from Iowa State University.
Eric Bassier leads product and technical marketing at Quantum, he and his team are responsible for driving Quantum’s product and go-to-market strategy globally.
Eric has over 18 years of experience designing, managing, and marketing enterprise storage products, and his writing has appeared in Wired, Business Solutions, Data Center Post, Data Center Knowledge, and more. Follow him at @ericbassier.
As Quantum’s Chief of Staff, Jeff is responsible for the promotion and implementation of Quantum’s global strategy and organizational vision. Joining Quantum as Senior Director of Program Management and Product Test in 2006, upon Quantum’s acquisition of ADIC, he brings over 20 years of experience in systems integration, quality assurance and program management. Recently, he drove Quantum’s new product introduction and served as Chief Transformation Officer in early 2018 before being promoted to Chief of Staff.
Prior to joining Quantum, Jeff managed Program and QA functions at ADIC, where he spent three years in various leadership positions. Previously, he held systems integration and development positions in the telecommunications industry.
Shahid Khan joined Quantum in November 2018. He leads the Global IT organization for Quantum and is responsible for its strategy & vision.
Shahid has over two decades of experience transforming IT teams and deploying enterprise solutions around the globe. He has extensive experience working with international teams dispersed in multiple locations and enterprise solutions for ERP, logistics, manufacturing and warehousing. Prior to Quantum, Shahid served as CIO for Mattson Technology, where he was instrumental in successfully transforming the global infrastructure and redeploying the SAP ERP solution. Before Mattson, Shahid served as Global Head of IT for a software developer Lohika Systems (now part of Altran). At Lohika Shahid re-built the global IT organization in Eastern Europe and USA and deployed solutions to align IT with the business to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and productivity. Shahid was also Founder and CTO of Intalect, a manufacturing execution control systems startup; Head of world-wide IT for Telegent; Senior Director of IT Asia Pacific and US West & Mexico for Celestica; and Head of IT for IMS. Shahid Studied Computer Science at Oregon State University.
Lewis Moorehead joined Quantum as Chief Accounting Officer in October 2018. Prior to joining Quantum, he was the Director of Finance, Accounting, and Tax at Carvana, Co., a publicly traded online retailer. Prior to his tenure at Carvana, he served as Managing Partner at Quassey, an investment firm. While at Quassey, he also served as Vice President of Finance and Principal Accounting Officer at Limelight Networks, a NASDAQ-listed global content-delivery network and SaaS provider. Prior to Limelight Networks, he held various executive finance and accounting leadership positions. Lewis began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Joining Quantum in 2001, Yves has held different increasing responsibilities across the company related to operations, manufacturing, quality, customer experience and global services. Yves is currently responsible for all activities related to global services, quality and customer experience at Quantum.
Yves is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of quality and customer experience responsibilities across different industries and product lines. Prior to Quantum, Yves worked for ADIC, a data storage solution provider, and led a manufacturing and quality team to adopt lean manufacturing principles to consistently deliver customer expectations just in time. Prior to that Yves worked at OEA Inc with high reliability automotive safety products (airbags) and was responsible for the worldwide quality approach in a rapidly evolving market. It included the creation and implementation of quality systems, customer and supplier management, new product introduction along with manufacturing process development and reliability programs. Yves holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and statistics from the Universite de Technologie de Compiegne, France.
John McKillop joined Quantum in August 2006, upon Quantum’s acquisition of ADIC. McKillop assumed the SVP of Global Sales role in October 2018. Prior roles at Quantum included SVP of Americas Sales, VP of Scale-out Storage and Federal Sales, Area Vice President of Sales in addition to various sales leadership positions in the past 14 years. Prior to Quantum, McKillop held various sales positions at companies in the data storage and data protection industry. McKillop is an entrepreneurial, results oriented and customer centric sales leader with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas, building high-energy sales teams, creating sales cultures that respect all stakeholders, and developing mutually beneficial relationships with end-users, value-add resellers and complementary vendors.
Henk Jan Spanjaard joined Quantum in July 2020 as Area Vice President, Sales, EMEA, and is responsible for leading the EMEA region towards growth and innovation. Henk Jan, who is multilingual, brings with him a strong sales and technical heritage and has more than 25 years of experience in the data storage, security, encryption, and networking industry, leading large teams in high-growth environments. His extensive knowledge of the EMEA market will play an important role in building out Quantum in EMEA. Prior to Quantum, Henk Jan held executive positions at several public and private global technology companies, including NetApp, Imperva, InfoBlox, and A10 Networks. Most recently, Henk Jan was the Vice President and General Manager of EMEA for DriveScale, an innovative composable infrastructure SaaS startup.
Edwin Yeo joined Quantum in July 2020 as Area Vice President, Sales, Asia Pacific and Japan. Edwin will cover sales across Australia, India, Japan, New Zealand, South Asia (including Greater China), and South Korea. With APAC being an important growth market for Quantum, Edwin and his team will work to expand Quantum’s presence and support to valued customers across the region. Edwin has over 25 years of experience leading sales at high-technology companies across Asia Pacific and Japan. He comes from Symantec, where he held concurrent positions as VP of Commercial Sales and Channels & Alliances, APAC. Prior to Symantec, he worked at Oracle APAC as VP of Channels and at Sun Microsystems in senior leadership roles. Edwin graduated with a B.Eng. from NUS Singapore; MBA from Rutgers University; LL.M in Business Law from Sorbonne-Assas Int’l Law School. He has an ISACA CISM certification for cyber security.
Curt is a proven sales leader who is responsible for overseeing Strategic Markets at Quantum. Before joining Quantum, he held a variety of Global Sales Management roles at Pivot3, the leader in hyper-converged solutions for video surveillance. Prior to Pivot3, he was VP of Worldwide Sales at Pillar Data Systems. Prior to Pillar, Curt held a series of senior management positions at Hitachi Data Systems, ending as Senior VP and General Manager, Americas, leading their HDS business in North and South America. Overall, Curt has more than 30 years of experience in senior sales roles with leading companies in the IT industry. Curt holds a MS in Computer Science and a BA in Computer Science/Business Administration, North Dakota State University. He also holds an Advanced Management Program degree from Harvard Business School.
Tim Diefenthaler joined Quantum in September 2018 as Vice President of Hyperscale and OEM Sales. Tim has over 30 years of experience selling to customers worldwide and developing innovative product portfolios. Prior to Quantum, Tim was Director of OEM Sales at Seagate Technology, where he was responsible for Tier 1 OEM customers. Prior to Seagate, Tim was VP of Tier 1 OEM sales at Xyratex. Prior to Xyratex, he served as Sr. Director of Professional Products at Gateway Computer, managing their professional laptop, desktop, server, and storage product lines, developing products with ODM’s worldwide. He has also held positions at Dell and IBM. Tim holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University.
James Mundle is responsible for Quantum’s global partner strategy, programs and execution, and is the company’s executive advocate for Quantum’s channel partners worldwide. James brings to Quantum over 35 years of experience leading channel strategy and programs at storage and cloud solution companies, and most recently served as Vice President of Worldwide Channel Programs with VEEAM. Prior to VEEAM, he was Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales for Seagate’s Cloud Systems and Solutions business, and previously spent 10 years at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in increasingly senior roles leading the storage and industry standard services business in the Americas.

Jim Kinder joined Quantum in November 2018 as Senior Director of Software Engineering. Jim is responsible for overseeing the development of a set of Quantum’s System Management applications.
Jim is a seasoned engineering leader with more than 30 years of experience in developing applications for network and system management in global environments for large and small companies. Prior to Quantum, Jim was at Cisco Systems where he led development of applications for performance management, assurance, and analytics. Jim also led development of network management applications for mobile operators, SLA monitoring technology, management appliances and EMS Web Apps.
Prior to Cisco, Jim led development of network monitoring applications for several innovative companies using early technologies for IP standards-based management.
Jim holds a Master’s Degree in System Engineering from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia.
Neil Bannister joined Quantum in December 2009 as a first-level Development Engineering Manager. He is responsible for Development, Quality and Sustainment for the StorNext family of products, and also leads the global StorNext team.
Neil has held key leadership roles for more than 25 years and has been in the business of moving and managing data for 35+ years. Previously, he was a kernel device and systems programmer. During his college career, he authored a thesis on heterogenous data movement.
Neil also spent 26 years at Cray Research & SGI, with over half that time spent on HSM and Shared File-Systems. While managing SGI’s shared file-system CXFS, he spent a lot of his time with many of our current customers.
Turguy represents Quantum with LTO organizations as the technology leader, while also leading the Advanced Development Team focused in LTO technology.
Turguy is servo and signal processing technology expert, with more than 30 years of experience in researching and designing tape drives specifically LTO.
Turguy has been one of the key contributors for researching low flying heads for HDD systems. His very first patent was on the Low Drag Liquid Bearing Recoding Heads achieving sub 1-micron head to disk spacing which was one of the key technologies for today’s Disk drives. Later, Turguy transitioned to Data Tape group researching and designing Arcuate Scan, DAT and finally LTO tape systems.
Turguy was a key member of a small R&D team who was responsible for the original LTO project collaborating with HP and IBM helping the formation of today’s LTO organization and tape technology.
Early in LTO, Turguy helped design and develop reel to reel motion control systems and the actuator tracking servo algorithms. Later in his career, he managed the LTO Advanced Development Team for Quantum, and has been responsible for developing next generation data detection methods, ECC concepts including ASIC implementation and high-performance dual actuator based adaptive servo control algorithms for multi-channel tape systems. Presently, he represents Quantum with LTO organization as the technology leader while still leading the Advanced Development Team focused in LTO technology.
Turguy has more than 50 patents in the tape technology field specifically in servo control, logical and physical tape formats, data detection and erasure coding. He was selected as Technology Hall of Fame with both Seagate and Certance.
Turguy holds a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University.
Don joined Quantum in 2006 as part of its acquisition of ADIC. Don is responsible for architecture and design of Quantum products initiated by the Advanced Projects team, with whom he is currently associated.
Don is well-versed in storage and networking technology and has served in both engineering and product management roles at Quantum. Don’s past projects include designing and implementing campus-area networks, automated tape storage libraries, error recovery algorithms for advanced tape storage devices and proofs-of-concept involving storage technology such as object-based file systems, erasure coding, NVMe-based storage systems, RAID and erasure coding. Don has produced patents in several areas including virtual tape storage, data deduplication, file systems, data protection (including erasure coding), tiered storage and solid-state drive technology. Don holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, both from the University of New Mexico.
Plamen Minev joined Quantum in November 2020 as Technical Director and is leading AI and Cloud related initiatives at the Quantum CTO office. Plamen is a seasoned technology and engineering leader with more than 25 years of experience building technologies and teams at startups and global technology companies with proven expertise in large scale cloud, telecom, and data analytics solutions.
Before joining Quantum, Plamen was a member of the EY-Parthenon Software Strategy Group, where he helped PE firms and large enterprises evaluate technologies and companies in the enterprise software and cloud verticals. Before EY, Plamen served as CTO at NYNJA, where he led the product and engineering, and was Head of Product at CPLANE.AI, leading all initiatives for the Hybrid-Cloud management. Before CPLANE.AI, he was Director of Engineering for Cisco Systems’ Cloud and Virtualization Group (CVG) and the Cisco CTO office.
Previously, Plamen held senior management and engineering positions at Nortel Networks, Sun Microsystems, Promatory Communications, Topspin Communications, and 1StopMove.com, and was co-founder of two companies. Plamen holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Sofia.
As Technical Director at Quantum, Marc is architect of the QBSP (Quantum Block Storage Platform) which provides Data Performance, Reliability and Availability for block storage. QBSP storage is used across Quantum's disk-based product lines: StorNext ® scale-out file system and video surveillance.
Marc is a skilled engineer and IT professional, with a strong focus on Linux, virtualization and storage technologies. Prior to joining Quantum, he spent the last 15 years in the higher education sector where he has honed his skills designing and building reliable, highly available storage and virtualization solutions for enterprise IT. Marc is also the creator and lead developer of the ESOS (Enterprise Storage OS) open source, software-defined storage platform, used in thousands of data centers worldwide for shared block-level storage. Marc obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Michigan.

Jamie Lerner joined Quantum in July 2018 as Chief Executive Officer and President. Jamie is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business while leading Quantum’s multi-pronged transformation initiatives to drive profitability, growth and innovation.
Jamie is a seasoned executive, with more than 25 years of experience developing innovative technology portfolios and leading large, high-performing organizations. Prior to Quantum, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Pivot3 a leader in hyper converged infrastructure. At Pivot3, Lerner was responsible for field sales, technical support, professional services, supply chain and operations. Before joining Pivot3, Lerner held the position of President, Cloud Systems and Solutions, at Seagate Technology, where he was responsible for Seagate’s growth initiatives in cloud computing. Prior to Seagate, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Cloud and Systems Management Technology Group at Cisco. He also was Founder, President, and CEO of CITTIO Inc., an enterprise system monitoring software company; Senior Software Architect and Product Manager at Platinum Technology (acquired by CA); and, a Senior Consultant at Andersen Consulting. Jamie holds a bachelor's degree in quantitative economics and decision sciences from the University of California, San Diego.
Mr. John A. Fichthorn relaunched Dialectic Capital Management, LP in May 2020, where he was a co-founder and equities portfolio manager and analyst between 2003 and 2017. Most recently, he was Head of Alternative Investments at B. Riley Capital Management, LLC from April 2017 until May 2020. From 2000 to 2003, John worked at Maverick Capital as Managing Director of the technology group, and he served as an analyst and member of the technology team at Alliance Capital from 1999 to 2000. He also was an analyst at Quilcap Corporation, a short-biased hedge fund where he covered all sectors with a focus on technology from 1997 to 1999. From 1995 to 1997, John worked at Ganek & Orwicz Partners where his responsibilities included small cap research, international closed-end fund arbitrage, and operations. After graduating from college, he briefly worked at Aviation Week and Space Technology. John received his BA in Astronomy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995. John graduated from Deerfield Academy in 1991. Mr. Fichthorn joined Quantum’s Board of Directors in April 2019 and serves as Quantum’s Lead Independent Director, is Chair of the Leadership and Compensation Committee, and a member of the Governance and Nominating Committee.
Ms. Jacoby was Senior Vice President, Operations of Cisco Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in IT networking, until her retirement in January 2018. She was promoted to the role in July 2015 and was responsible for driving profitable growth and enabling operational excellence. Ms. Jacoby oversaw the supply chain, global business services, security and trust, and IT organizations. In her former role as Cisco’s CIO from 2006 to 2015, she made the Cisco IT organization a strategic business partner, producing significant business value for Cisco in the form of financial performance, customer satisfaction and loyalty, market share, and productivity. Since joining Cisco in 1995, Ms. Jacoby held a variety of leadership roles in operations, manufacturing and IT. Prior to joining Cisco, Ms. Jacoby held a range of planning and operations positions with other companies in Silicon Valley. Her extensive understanding of business operations, infrastructure and application deployments, as well as her knowledge of products, software and services helped her advance Cisco’s business through the use of Cisco technology. Ms. Jacoby served on the Board of Apptio, Inc., which provides cloud-based technology business management solutions to enterprises, from 2018 until its acquisition by Vista Equity Partners in January of 2019. Ms. Jacoby is a member of Quantum’s Leadership and Compensation Committee, as well as the Audit Committee.
Ms. Jacoby has served on the Board of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties and is a founding member of the Technology Business Management Council. Known for her strong track record of operational excellence, innovative problem solving and talent development, Ms. Jacoby was inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame by CIO magazine and was recognized by Forbes as a “Superstar CIO” in 2012.
Mr. Marc E. Rothman is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of BMC Software, Inc., a global leader in IT solutions for the autonomous digital enterprise, a role he has held since October 2020. From February 2013 until July 2020, Mr. Rothman was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at VeriFone Systems Inc., a leader in global payment services and solutions. Prior to VeriFone, Mr. Rothman served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Motorola Mobility Inc. He led Motorola Mobility’s spinoff from its former parent company, Motorola Solutions Inc., and its sale to Google in 2012. Mr. Rothman also served in finance leadership roles at Motorola Solutions Inc., General Instrument (GI), and Audit Advisory Services at Deloitte. Mr. Rothman is Chairman of Quantum’s Audit Committee and is a member of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and the Leadership and Compensation Committee.
Mr. Raghu Rau currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of TiVo Corporation, a creator of personalized and data-driven ways for viewers to discover the right entertainment and for providers to discover the right audiences, a position he has held since May 2015. From November 2011 until October 2014, Mr. Rau served as the Chief Executive Officer of SeaChange International Inc., a provider of digital video systems, software and related services to cable, telecommunications and broadcast television companies worldwide, where he also served as a director from July 2010 until October 2014. From November 2010 until December 2014, Mr. Rau served as a director of Aviat Networks, Inc., a global supplier of microwave networking solutions, backed by an extensive suite of professional services and support. He also previously served as a director of Microtune, Inc., a global leader in RF integrated circuits and subsystem modules, from May 2010 until its acquisition by Zoran Corporation in December 2010. Mr. Rau served as Senior Vice President of the Mobile TV Solutions Business of Motorola, Inc. (“Motorola”) from May 2007 until January 2008, and as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, Networks & Enterprise of Motorola from March 2006 to May 2007. He served as Corporate Vice President of Global Marketing and Strategy for Motorola from 2005 to 2006, and as Corporate Vice President, Marketing and Professional Services, from 2001 to 2005. From October 1992 to 2001, Mr. Rau served in various positions within Motorola, including as Vice President of Strategic Business Planning and Vice President of Sales and Operations and held positions in Asia and Europe. He is a former Chairman of the QuEST Forum, a collaboration of service providers and suppliers dedicated to telecom supply chain quality and performance, and a former director of the Center for Telecom Management at the University of Southern California. Mr. Rau also served on the Marketing Advisory Board of Cleversafe Inc. which was acquired by IBM. Mr. Rau is the Chair of Quantum’s Governance and Nominating Committee, and a member of the Audit Committee.
