  1. StorageCare Guardian is a proactive monitoring and diagnostics solution that provides a higher level of service at no extra cost to the customer for products under warranty or service contract.
  2. Upgraded on-site response levels are available in many regions around the world. In areas where a desired service is not available, product warranty becomes Rapid Exchange. Please contact Quantum for availability in your region.
  3. Professional installation is highly recommended for DX3000, DX5000, DPM5500, PX502, and is required for PX506 and PX510. Standard installation services can be purchased through Quantum. Check for availability in your region.
  4. Product Integration and SiteCare are not available on a worldwide basis. Please contact Quantum for availability in your region.
  5. With StorageCare™ Guardian installed, 5x9 next day on-site target response for the chassis, raid controllers and Optyon adapters; and Rapid Exchange for the power supplies, fans and disk drives. DPM5500 software warranty is one-year 5x9 telephone support. Warranty support will be commercially reasonable effort if StorageCare™ Guardian is not installed.

Standalone Tape Drives: Support and Service 

Quantum provides world-class warranty and post-warranty return to factory repair for standalone tape drives.1 Quantum provides the customer with Rapid Exchange of a replacement drive prior to the receipt of the defective drive by Quantum after having met particular terms mutually agreed to by both Quantum and the customer.

  1. The warranty terms and conditions for DLT, LTO, and DAT/DDS tape drives sold as a standalone unit. Quantum tape drives purchased with or for autoloaders and tape libraries carry the warranty terms and conditions for the automated product.
