Obtaining the cvfsid

Windows systems:

Click Start select Programs > StorNext file System > License Identifier Record the cvfsid in the popup

Xsan systems:

cd /Library/Filesystems/Xsan/bin
sudo cvfsid

Linux and Unix systems:

run /usr/cvfs/bin/cvfsid

Example output: 80020F8B5F6 sun 1 silentbob
